Penny was bred by NW Frenchies, the same breeder who produced my first Frenchie, Joe. I chose her with the hope that she would become the foundation of Everwilde, and I’ve been able to watch her grow with that future in mind.About Penelope:
Penny is an affectionate little firecracker who approaches life at full speed. She loves people and assumes every dog she meets is ready to play. At home, she’s deeply attached to her family and firmly believes she should be involved in whatever everyone else is doing. She’s still young, so I’m enjoying watching her personality develop as she grows into herself.
-
Penelope completed comprehensive AKC genetic screening in February 2026, with no results identifying her as affected by a tested genetic disease. Her complete DNA report is kept on file, and additional health testing will be added as she becomes old enough to complete it.

Penny is an affectionate, confident little dog with absolutely no shortage of personality. She loves people and assumes every dog she meets is ready to play.
She approaches life with a lot of enthusiasm. Play is serious business, and once she gets going, stopping is not usually part of her plan. She can become very excited when playing with other dogs and is still learning how to settle herself when the fun is over. At home, though, she is deeply attached to her family and wants to be wherever her people are.
Penny is smart and knows what is being asked of her, although whether she considers the request more interesting than whatever she is currently doing is another matter entirely. As she approaches her first birthday, impulse control is still very much a work in progress.
What I appreciate most is how comfortable she is being part of everyday family life. She has grown up in my home alongside my other dogs, cats, and rabbits and is used to the normal activity that comes with a busy household. She’s also a surprisingly good little watchdog and makes sure we know when someone unfamiliar is at the door, usually with a series of huffs and snorts followed by some remarkably big barks for such a tiny girl.
Her temperament will continue to mature as she does, and I'm enjoying getting to know the adult dog.

Penny lives in my home as part of the family. Most days, she can be found playing with the other dogs or following us around to see what everyone is doing.
I choose her food based on what works well for her and make adjustments as her needs change. She gets plenty of opportunities to be active, with breaks when she needs them. Training happens naturally throughout the day, especially while she's still figuring out that impulse control is, apparently, a thing.
I also keep a close eye on her during physical activity. Frenchies aren't always great at admitting when they've had enough, and Penny will happily keep playing long after everyone else has called it quits.
Most importantly, Penny is our pet before she is part of my breeding program. Everwilde fits into her life, not the other way around.
-
Penny is planned to have Everwilde's first litter in 2027 or 2028, after she is fully mature and has completed the health testing required for my program.
When the time comes, I'll choose a health-tested stud specifically for Penny. I want a male who complements what she brings to the pairing while also improving where there is room to improve. His pedigree and genetic results will be reviewed before I make that decision.
I'm particularly mindful of functional structure and comfortable breathing in French Bulldogs. Those considerations will carry far more weight in my choice of stud than producing a particular color or coat.
Once a pairing has been selected, I'll add the stud and planned litter information here.
